About the Forum

The 3rd New Zealand Modular Construction & Pre-fabrication Forum will create the strategic platform to accelerate the momentum, built through our successful past series of modular construction and prefabrication events, for the further adoption of modular technologies & offsite pre-fabrication, helping to alleviate the current housing bottleneck in the country.

As KiwiBuild aims to deliver 100,000 affordable homes over the next decade, delivering the quality homes would be a major challenge given the strength of demand for housing and the labour capacity constraints currently being experienced. One viable option to address this, is Modular and Offsite Construction. At the same time, Housing New Zealand is also poised with a new slew of pre-fab/modular projects in the pipeline. The latest relaxation by the new Government for controlled foreign ownership also goes a long way to promote further foreign investments.

Themed “Scaling New Heights with Innovations in Construction”, this conference will bring experienced industry experts to showcase successful case studies, helping to strengthen and enhance the uptake of modular construction methodology in New Zealand’s construction industry. Of particular interest to the design and construction industries this conference will highlight the “how” and “getting it right” of innovative modular construction.

An annual key gathering of specifiers (architects, designers, engineers), producers (manufacturers, contractors, builders) and building professionals (developers, building officials, researchers) together with a wide array of international prefab experts, master builders, offsite manufacturing practitioners, NZ and overseas developers, bankers and insurers, this Summit is an excellent networking opportunity not to be missed!
