Improving the productivity of industry and the livability of communities. ISCA (The Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia) is the peak body of infrastructure sustainability in Australia and New Zealand. Founded in 2008 our goal is to ensure that all infrastructure is planned, designed, built and operated in a sustainable manner. Our IS Rating Tool allows projects and assets to measure and achieve a sustainability score, we offer education and training, and we create a community of practice by bring experts together at our events and conferences. We are a not-for-profit, member based organisation, with over 100 member organisations. In 2017 we launched the IS International Rating tool, and in 2018 we will be launching version 2 of the tool.

buildingSMART (bSA) develops standards, tools and training to drive the adoption of openBIM so the sector can realise cheaper, greener, and more efficient buildings and infrastructure. bSA works hard to ensure that BIM is not proposed or implemented in a haphazard way across the sector.

Passive House is a certification system that delivers healthy, comfortable, resilient, low energy buildings. With over 80,000 buildings certified, it’s the most widely used sustainable design and construction system in the world. Originally developed in Germany over 25 years ago, Passive House has a long and successful track record, overseen by the International Passive House Association. It’s been applied in over 33 countries, and it is equally applicable in predominantly warm climates like Australia.
The Australian Passive House Association (APHA) is an independent, membership based, not-for-profit organisation which promotes Passive House principles as a way of providing superior indoor comfort and air quality while reducing energy use and carbon emissions.
