Program Summary

 

Led by award-winning OHS leader and past Chair of the International Association Of Facilitators – Victorian Chapter, Geoff Hurst will show you how to improve your overall field safety incidents by developing comprehensive field safety management practices, field technologies, regulatory requirements and field safety culture that will ensure that your team is completely prepared to deal with hazardous and safety field incidents when they arise.

 

In this comprehensive program, you will learn how to improve your field safety when dealing with hazardous and dangerous site activities. You will learn how to deal with direction and control of incidents involving hazardous materials and dangerous emergencies which includes training on the Incident Command System and its implementation. Case studies of real-world incident scenarios will be discussed. Participants will discover characteristics of a disaster accident prone site, site hazards, proper use of personal protective equipment, and methods to control risks and safety reliability.

 

Delegates will also learn how to analyze root causes of incident trends and recommend effective corrective and preventive measures, in order to prevent future recurrences. You will be equipped with all the required tools and skills to perform a thorough incident root cause analysis, including learning the legal aspects of an investigation and sound interviewing techniques to systematically gather evidence. Drawing lessons from past incident trends, you will reveal the critical gaps in your existing safety management processes and subsequently, implement necessary process change to develop more robust and sustainable systems.
