09.00-12.00 Design Thinking Workshop: Supporting the Integrated Care Process
This half-day workshop will be an immersion into the Design Thinking process and will demonstrate how this process can be used to uncover innovative ideas and ways to solve mundane and seemingly stuck problems that impact healthcare delivery from a quality and efficiency perspective. Calvary SilverLining case study will be used as a starting point. The workshop will be divided into three segments and participants will be in small working groups to work through a range of solutions, find the best few and then best option to solve the challenges.

Three Main Segments

  • Calvary SilverLining case study will be used to set context, to capture key observations that relate to workflow and environment and to extract and define core needs from the insights.
  • Rapid, high-level solution development: Groups will be asked to storyboard how the solutions will be implemented and to add priority to the core solutions.
  • Top 2 ideas will be presented, information will be consolidated with a final preparation of a document/ slide deck that speaks to the challenges and outlines the high level solutions.
