WHY HR ANALYTICS FAIL? LEARNING LESSONS AND PAIN POINTS
10:45 Pitfalls of HR Analytics

Despite Having The Best Data, Why Are HR Analytics Still Failing In Some Companies

According to recent studies, 55% of executives in high performance companies are using HR analytics, compared to 12% from moderately performing ones. The advantages are numerous but there are also some key disadvantages.

In its pursuit of removing behavioral biases from talent selection, retention, performance management and training, it also removes the humanistic element of HR; organizations need a balanced approach to HR analytics implementation to ensure employees are not alienated, or stretched to unsustainable levels just to meet performance metrics. Amazon is an example of this point. Even though they are an engine of efficiency, Amazon has a high attrition rate. Employees are monitored by electronic systems to ensure they are doing enough, and in its offices a continual performance improvement algorithm spurs its employees to do much more. All these lead to unsustainable employment practices even though on data analytics, it suggest the company is performing at excellent levels in productivity

16:10 HR Sentiment Analytics

Using HR Sentiment Analytics to Tackle Employee Burnout and Uncover Tensions in Workplace

HR professionals are now using an advanced data-driven approach to improving employee retention. Machine learning software analyzes engagement survey responses and online reviews – quickly determining the “why” behind scores and quantifying the key themes that are driving burnout. With HR sentiment analytics, companies can quickly pinpoint underlying reasons for employee burnout and stress and take immediate actions to improve before leading to attrition.

WORKSHOP B: Using HR Analytics to Draw Meaningful Insights From Employee Engagement Surveys
13:00 – 16:00 Most companies are not reaping the full value of employee engagement surveys. The heavily subjective nature of feedback can make extracting meaningful insights difficult and unreliable – in fact, estimates show that different people only agree 60-65% of the time when judging sentiment in text. HR professionals now have a way to analyze free-form survey responses at scale, and gain a clearer picture of the strength and direction of employee sentiment, in turn informing accurate and impactful policy changes. Find out more how HR analytics is being used in this way, and how you too can use it to drive a better and higher-performing organization, in this exclusive workshop.
